The Single Mom KC, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, invites single moms to gather together to celebrate life’s victories and support each other through life’s challenges. Each time we gather, whether one-on-one or in groups, we endeavor to fulfill these purposes:
Our Mission
The Single Mom KC invites single moms into community, equips their families in spiritual and emotional growth, and provides resources so families can walk in restoration.
Our Vision
The Single Mom KC builds communities of hope that empower single mothers to lead solid, stable, thriving families.
Our Values
Christ-Centered, Radical Love, Community, Hope and Healing.
Our Work
TSMKC is peer-led and highly collaborative, with trained single-mother leaders implementing a majority of its programming.
The Single Mom KC seeks to serve holistically, empowering and encouraging single moms in every area of their lives. It does this by providing:
- Connection and community with other moms
- Events that embrace, educate, nourish and offer hope
- Practical, spiritual and leadership development opportunities
- Monthly workshops to equip and educate
- Children’s programs for kids to explore and grow
- A beautiful boutique where moms can “shop” at no cost every month
- An outlook that centers on faith, community, love, hope and healing
What We Believe
As an organization, what we do is an expression of whose we are and what we love. We love God above all and endeavor to be an expression of the love of God to single-mother families, the church and community.
- We love because God first loved us.
- We love the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We love God’s Word, the Bible.
- We love God’s world and all those therein.
- We love God’s gospel and the HOPE it brings.
- We love God’s people, the Church.
- We love the family, as ordained by God.
